Konnichiwa!

Julio desu!
One of my favorite books is Shogun by James Clavell, Anjin-san is a reference to the main character.
I'm studying Japanese because it's a culture that I like a lot. I hope that one day I can watch a Kurosawa film without the subtitles.
The sov and writing systems are giving me trouble...but I won't give up.

Julio san, konnichiwa. Nihongo no TA no Sawamoto desu. Can you please tell us some more about Kurosawa films you've watched and what you thought of them?

What is your favorite くろさわ movie? I like seven さむらい.

I think "Kujikenaikara" means "I won't give up." But I could be wrong, I just heard it in the Slayers closing theme.

If you're in to Kurasawa films, definitely see RAN. It's basically the plot of King Lear, except with samurai's. Who doesn't like samurai's? And senseless violence of course...

Takeshi "Beat" Kitano is another good director. I think he used to be a stand up comedian or something. Either way, he makes good movies. You may have heard of Battle Royale, which is one of the most insane movies I have ever seen. Really good though.
